UnCategorized Sanjay Dutt was born on 29th July 1959 and took education from Lawrence School Sanawar and later entered the film industry in 1981. Born to Padma Shri Award Winner actors Sunil and Nargis Dutt, he also has two sisters named Namrata and Priya Dutt. Namrata is married to son of famous Bollywood actor Rajendra Kumar and Love Story fame actor, Kumar Gaurav. Priya Dutt is a Member of Parliament. Born to such great actors of Bollywood, Sanjay made his debut in the Bollywood in the year 1981 in ROCKY (1981), which was directed and produced by his father Sunil Dutt. In this film, he played the role of a carefree young boy who later avenges his father death. This film was released a few weeks after Sanjay mother death and did not achieve huge success on the Box Office. He was also seen as a child actor in the film Reshma Aur Shera (1971). Here he played a role of a qawali singer and his dad Sunil Dutt and Waheeda Rehman were his costars. Sanjay Dutt then acted in Vidhata (1982) where he worked with some of the Bollywood legends such as Dilip Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Shammi Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, Amrish Puri, Madan Puri and Padmini Kolhapure. He was seen as Shammi Kapoor grandson in the film. In Johny I Love You (1982), he played the title role of Johny and his costars were Rati Agnihotri, Amrish Puri, Tanuja, Om Prakash and Aruna Irani. Main Awara Hoon (1983), a film produced by Shakti Samantha and directed by Ashim Samantha was another film in which he got an opportunity to work with Rati Agnihotri and his other costars were Raj Babbar, Jaya Prada, Madan Puri, Shakti Kapoor. Here he worked as a garage mechanic. All The Best (2009) which was produced by Ajay Devgn and directed by Golmaal fame Rohit Shetty was another film in the year 2009 where Sanjay ventured into .edy. He played the Badebhaiya who visits his younger brother Fardeen Khan and now Fardeen has to prove him that he is married so that he gets the money which his elder brother always give him. Ajay Devgn, Mugdha Godse and Bipasha Basu were also there in the film. While, All The Best (2009) Managed To Grab Little Attention, His Other Two Films Aladin (2009) And Blue (2009) Did Not Succeed On The Box Office In The Same Year. ALADIN (2009) is a fantasy story based on the famous Arabian Nights. Here, Sanjay plays Ringmaster who is the villain of the film. He acted in this flick with Amitabh Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez. In BLUE (2009), Sanjay portrayed the role of a diver and his costars were Akshay Kumar, Zayed Khan and Lara Dutta. The tag line of Luck (2009) was really promising which had the tag line the only thing sure about Luck is that it will change. However, the film did not click at the Box Office. This film was a multi star film where Imran Khan, Danny Denzongpa, Shruti Haasan, Ravi Kissen, Mithun Chakraborthy and Chitrashi Rawat worked with him. Knock Out (2010) also did not succeed. Here he worked with Irrfan Khan, Kangna Ranaut and Mugdha Godse. Some of his films are Munnabhai Chale Amerika, No Problem, Power and In his personal life, Sanjay Dutt has faced lot of twists and turns. He got married to actress Richa Sharma in 1987, but she died in 1996 because of brain tumor. They both have a daughter named Trishala who currently stays in USA. He, then married model Rhea Pillai in 1998, but they divorced in 2005. Then he married Manyata in 2008 after dating her for two years and recently on 21st October 2010, he became the father of twins. On 19th April 1993, he was arrested under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Act (TADA). He spent 16 months in jail and was finally granted bail in October 1995 by The Supreme Court of India. On 31st July 2007, he was imprisoned for six years for illegal possession of weapons. He was released under interim bail on 23rd August 2007. He was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for the Intergovernmental Institution for the use of Microalgae Spiritual Against Malnutrition (IIMSAM) on 16th November 2008. He will be promoting the use of Spirulina and this will help the organization in eradication of malnutrition in the least developed countries. He also announced in January 2009 that Samajwadi Party offered him a ticket to contest Lok Sabha Elections. However, in March 2009, he was banned by The Supreme Court of India. Sanjay Dutt got his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor in 1999 for his legendary performance as Raghu Dada in the film Vaastav which was directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. He got his second award for Munnabhai Mbbs in the year 2003 as Best .edian. This film was directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. He was nominated as Best Actor for Sajaan (1991), Khal Nayak (1993) Mission Kashmir (2000) and Lage Raho Munnabhai (2006) and also as Best Supporting Actor for Kaante (2002) and Parineeta (2005).
